About the position:

We are seeking a full-time veterinarian to join a  24/7, 365 strictly small animal emergency and critical care hospital located in north San Diego County.  They are the longest standing emergency clinic in this region and are supported by a large referral network of local general practices.  They currently operate with 4 full time and 2-part time veterinarians including one boarded in emergency and critical care medicine. They work closely with several on call board certified surgeons who are available 24/7 to assist with orthopedic and more involved soft tissue surgeries (however ER doctors are encouraged to operate on cases they are comfortable with). AUC is located in a 4500 square foot facility with 5 exam rooms, isolation ward, large central treatment room, fully equipped surgical suite with ventilator, and several doctor offices with sleeping quarters. They are current with all of the latest technology including but not limited to in house CBC/Chem, blood gas, PT/PTT, digital radiographs, portable ultrasound, cold laser and endoscopy.

 Requirements:

DVM or equivalent

Candidates must have completed either a 1-year internship or 2 years of full-time practice in emergency medicine, are flexible with work hours, and have a positive attitude.
