Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking a part time Veterinarian for 2-3 days a week with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to join their team.  They are a privately owned, small animal practice that has a well-established history serving the Sacramento Valley for over 30 years.

The ideal candidate is warm, compassionate, enjoys communicating patient care and is passionate about small animal veterinary medicine.  Must be comfortable with seeing clients, performing minor surgeries and working as a single doctor. The Veterinarian will be primarily responsible for performing all aspects of veterinary work including full physical exams, ordering tests, procedures, maintaining proper record keeping for clients in a computerized database and be able to perform some surgeries with general anesthesia. Must work well with clients and staff. Veterinary nurses provide support in-room and help guide the standard of care.

Their  team is dedicated to upholding notable veterinary standards to provide the pet with superior care in a welcoming, and relaxed environment.  Their goal is to provide high quality medicine in serving their pet parents, they aim to help further educate them by providing resources that allow pet owners to make informed decisions regarding their pet’s wellness to prolong the quality lives of the pets.  They offer complete veterinary care for all stages of a pet’s life including: Complete Puppy and Kitten Vaccine Packages, Vaccines, Dental Care/deep Cleaning, Laboratory Services, Surgical Services, X-ray Services, Ultrasound Equipment, Internal Medicine, Laparoscopy, Endoscopy, Dermatology, Geriatric Services, and Cancer Treatment.  They are paper lite, utilizing medical software in the cloud.  Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital has on staff a Board-Certified Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist.   However, they interact with specialists in other fields to complement the medicine at our hospital. They are located in Citrus Heights right off HWY 80.

Must obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of California and obtain a DEA license
